A+C - Tinakilly House Black Tie Wedding - Irish Wedding Photographer, Dublin - Ireland

Our photos are incredible and capture every single part of our day perfectly. You were so lovely to work with and knew exactly the images that needed to get. Some of our guests even referred to you as a ninja, always in the right spot to capture our special moments. We couldn’t have asked for better photos and a better person to spend the day with. Thank you so much for allowing us to relive all our special moments
— Aideen + Colin

Want to know how to have a black tie wedding and look incredible but also have the best time and have so much fun? Well, this is the wedding you can take inspo from!

Aideen and Colin first priority was to have a relaxed day where they could have the most fun with their friends and family and choosing to do everything at Tinakilly House (from getting ready up to their dancing) was for sure the right choice.

Often couples are faced with the decision of having everything on site or being in separate venues and although I understand why couples would like to have their wedding in a church, if you are not having one and choosing a fab venue and they can accommodate you two getting ready I would highly recommend! Is the easiest hassle free way to get the most out of your day and make sure you are not running around all day which mean more time to spend with your guests ! \o/

Hope you like the images and get some ideas of how to look amazing like these two without losing a minute of fun!

D+M - Engagement Session - Phoenix Park - Farmleigh House

D&M_engagement_preview_8.jpg

As everyone knows I’m a big believer on engagement sessions and this one in Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park is for sure one of my favourites!

If you are considering booking a wedding photographer for your wedding I highly recommend getting a trial like an engagement session first, I say to couples, “when you are buying your wedding cake you get to taste it first so why not with your wedding photos?”.

Wedding photos are the only thing (specially if you are not hiring a videographer) left from your wedding day and is so easy to get disappointed if you and the professional you chose are not the right fit!

Also, I’m pretty sure being in front of the camera is tough for anyone so why not try it out and see that at the end it can be fun?

This is what Mike and Daryll did, they took the time to meet me and we had such a fun day and on their wedding day they knew exactly what to do (wait until you see their full wedding, it was a dream!)

Hope you enjoy the photos x

S+ E Engagement Session | Galway Wedding Photographer | Why Engagement Photos are important!

galway_city_engagement_photos_liviafigueiredo_80.jpg

This couple right here is a living proof of why you should have engagement photos done before you wedding! I can't wait to share their wedding day at Bellinter House but their engagement session in Galway was so lovely that I couldn't not post.

Lately I've been talking more and more to couples about the importance of having your pictures taken before your wedding day. I already gave you 5 reasons why you should have an engagement session, but I just wanted to go a little more in depth, specially for the people who are looking to hire a wedding photographer but not sure how to choose one.

When it comes down to why photography is what I love and how I get the best of my couples is all about one word: trust. They need to trust me and be free in front of the camera, sounds easy but it's not.

To be yourself in a uncomfortable situation where all you want to do is look alright for your photos it's important that not only you trust your photographer but also that your photographer understands what kind of couple you two are.

I like to really know my couples and I genuinely care about what they have to say because when you care that shows in the images.

I receive so many emails of people asking for natural photos or how do you get candid and unposed images and it all comes down to genuinely caring about the people in front of the camera, wanting them to be their best selves and wanting to show how beautiful their love is.

We go for a tea before or a pint, whatever it takes for us to know each other a little more and I tell about my weird obsession with pugs and most of the times they laugh (because they are polite lovely people) but we and up a little closer and after all that being in front of the camera doesn't sound so scary because I'm not a random person with a huge camera hiding my face, hopefully I'm a pug lover that will make you laugh on your wedding day and get the best giggles between you and your partner that cares about your story and that's why I decided to have my own business and that's why I keep getting fantastic people in front of my camera because we all care.

Have all this in mind before saying no to an engagement session, make it a day to invest in your memories!

A+D | Intimate Alternative Wedding in Tinakilly House | Wedding Photographer Ireland

alternative_wedding_tinakilly_house_liviafigueiredo_563.jpg

Storm Emma is in full force outside so why not go back to lovely September and check this amazing intimate and alternative wedding in Tinakilly House

When they contacted me the first thing they said was: we LOVE photos! To be honest I'm not that used to hearing that so it definitely sparkled my attention. They said that they were having a very intimate wedding and that her family and a small group of friends were coming from America and their budget focus was to get cool, fun pictures of their day (that's why I freaking love my clients!) so on the day oh boy, these two delivered!

They told me to be completely free and as creative as I wanted, we end up doing a first look (which is something that here in Ireland I don't see happing that much - but I absolutely love it) and we had a great time!

We also split the couples portraits in two sections so at night we could do some more alternative ones and that also meant they could spend more time with their guests (which I'm all about)!.

Some of my favourite moments was when one of the bridesmaids actually took the brides vows from her bra, so funny! The bridesmaids were actually fab and when the bride's wedding dress needed some last minute alteration (5 minutes before the ceremony) they came to the rescue and with scissors in hands they made it perfect!

I hope you enjoy this wedding, it's a representation of how many cool photos you can get when you let yourself be creative and to have fun on your day! (The night shots are one of my favourites I ever took!)

Best of 2017 - Ireland Documentary Wedding Photographer

PRESS PLAY!!!!

Happy Valentine's Day! What more perfect day to finally release my Best of 2017!

2017 was such a important year in my career and it was one of my most intense ones as well, I met incredible people with some fantastic stories and together we created some of my favourites images so far.

From outdoor ceremonies in the sun, confetti shots, two day bashes, Dublin City elopements, winter weddings full of style and everything in between, 2017 was the year where I was able to document couples that were several years together finally starting a new journey and it's just such a blessing, really.

Being a photographer is not an easy job, I tell you. There's a constant weight (metaphorically and literally speaking - those cameras weight a ton, lol) of being the person who will document forever a spitting stone in two peoples lives and doing it in a respectful, creative and truthful way is not something that comes easily but I wouldn't do it in any other way.

Can't wait to see what 2018 has reserved of all of us, but I have a hunch that is going to be even more amazing!

Hope you all enjoy the images xx

Elope in Ireland | Not even hurricane Ophelia could stop these two! | Rock of Cashel Ireland Elopement Wedding Photographer

L&K_rock_of_cashel_cahir_castle_ireland_elopement_wedding_photographer_350.jpg
Livia,

That day was so special and you helped make it that way. We have incredible ones to cherish the actual wedding day from you. Thank you so much. These are so beautiful. They made me cry my eyes out!
You not only took incredible photos os us, you really helped me through the stress of that morning and that lead to a fairytale kind of day with my husband <3
— Liz + Kevin

Liz found me through a photographer friend that shared my love for pugs (who knew pugs would get me new customers?! That's one more reason why pugs are the best, lol!) and we hit if off instantly! She decided to Elope in Ireland and wanted a wedding photographer that could capture their elopement the way they dreamed of and I couldn't be happier to have been a part of it!

Then the Hurricane Ophelia came one day before their big day and we didn't give up! Although her makeup artist didn't show up I, who am slightly obsessed with makeup,  did my best to help out, but Liz was such a bad ass and took charge! Surprisingly the weather was lovely and full of sunshine and no fallen trees were in our way so the rest of the day went smooth.

From their intimate ceremony in Cork just with their parents to stopping on the way while we drove back to Dublin we managed to capture some of the beauty Ireland has to offer like the ruins of the Rock of Cashel, which is just stunning! Please have a look through the end of this post and check how stunning those surrounding are!

If you are thinking about eloping I say: be prepared for the things you can't predict, open your hearts and embrace the moment because it's magical and totally worth it!!

Hope you all enjoy the images xx

G+P | Don't let it rain on your parade! | Rathsallagh House | Wedding Photographer

p+g_rathsallagh_house_wedding_livia_figueiredo_451.jpg
LIVIA!!!!

You have killed me, these are so amazing. I absolutely love what you managed to capture. Thanks so much for sending this over - we’re delighted.
— Gemma+Phil

I often get asked "Livia, what happens if it rains on our wedding day?" rain is one of couple's biggest fear when it comes to wedding but what I say, as a wedding photographer that seen it all, is: you are the one that makes your day special, not the weather!

When it rains on a wedding I'm shooting my main job is to make it something to be incorporated (that doesn't mean running in the rain, although that would be fun too!) but to find light, beauty and special moments regardless of the weather and this wedding I'm showing today it's an example of that.

Gemma and Phil had planned their day up t the smallest details (Gemma was fantastic and there was a impressive spreadsheet involved when we met!) but one think you can't really predict is Irish weather, but they didn't let a little rain be an obstacle and as you can see in the images there was no short of happy faces all around!

One thing that they decided to do that it's having their first look and their couple's portraits before the ceremony, that I believe helped with the nerves and they were able to enjoy their reception with friends and family without rushing to have their photos!

If you are planning your wedding at Rathsallagh House there won't be any problem when it comes to lovely places for photos even with a little bit of rain!

Hope you enjoy the images xx
