Thank you Livia! Not sure if your superpowers extend to super hearing, because if so, you’d have heard the chorus of thanks and happiness from across 3+ timezones: from us in Canada, across Ireland, to Hong Kong, and then finally in Manila! We love the slideshow and our families across the globe love the pictures too. We really enjoy reliving the small moments you managed to capture (secretly!)!

When I met these two that flew all way from Vancouver for our engagement session in the Farmleigh House I knew that I was in for a treat! They were so lovely and cute and filled with excitement for their day that I couldn’t wait for the big day!

They had their wedding in Kilshane House which is a fantastic luxury venue in Tipperary that every corner looking straight out of a dream, their orangery in particular is one of my faves, but other than a stunning venue, Kilshane House has another great feature that it’s the reason why I get so excited when I shoot there: they have two adorable pugs that the owners kindly allow me to hug and kiss when I go there!!! If you don’t know I have a slight obsession for pugs and tend to hug every pug I see, lol!

Back to the wedding, the day started and oh boy Daryll’s girl squad was just amazing! Such a lively group of ladies that were so keen to help (they were involved in a lot of details for the day, I heard) and we got to take some fun bridal party photos, the boys were maybe a tad less helpful but so fun to be around too!

From the church ceremony back to the venue we were quite blessed with the weather and we managed to take some beautiful portraits at Kilshane rain free, hooray! If you are having your wedding there, I highly recommend exploring the venue for portraits, there’s so much option.

Fast forward to the night time when Daryll look stunning on her second dress and we get to see some a-mazing fireworks display! Can all weddings have fireworks, please? To finish off we got back inside for some awesome dancing, and when I say awesome, I mean it! Their friends and family were one of the most fun dance floors I seen all year!!!!

Hope you like the images as much as I do xx

Engagement session at Guinness Storehouse - Dublin Wedding Photographer

I always dreamed on doing an engagement session at The Guinness Storehouse since moving to Ireland 7 years ago (time flies when you are having fun I guess!!) and I did had the opportunity to shoot several times in the Guinness Storehouse for commercial photography and every time I would see another corner I thought would be fun to have a couple for it!

Finally I met these two and convinced them to let me go and let me explore and have fun there and oh boy I'm so happy with the result and I hope you like it too.

I've been saying for a long time how I think engagement sessions are just so important and this year I've been making sure my couples have some awesome photographs to look back years from now and also to have fun while creating those memories.

I really hope you guys enjoy it and if you want some cool pictures of you and your partner why not to think outside the box? Which place would be your dream location for a shoot? Let me know and let's make this happen!

A+D | Intimate Alternative Wedding in Tinakilly House | Wedding Photographer Ireland

alternative_wedding_tinakilly_house_liviafigueiredo_563.jpg

Storm Emma is in full force outside so why not go back to lovely September and check this amazing intimate and alternative wedding in Tinakilly House

When they contacted me the first thing they said was: we LOVE photos! To be honest I'm not that used to hearing that so it definitely sparkled my attention. They said that they were having a very intimate wedding and that her family and a small group of friends were coming from America and their budget focus was to get cool, fun pictures of their day (that's why I freaking love my clients!) so on the day oh boy, these two delivered!

They told me to be completely free and as creative as I wanted, we end up doing a first look (which is something that here in Ireland I don't see happing that much - but I absolutely love it) and we had a great time!

We also split the couples portraits in two sections so at night we could do some more alternative ones and that also meant they could spend more time with their guests (which I'm all about)!.

Some of my favourite moments was when one of the bridesmaids actually took the brides vows from her bra, so funny! The bridesmaids were actually fab and when the bride's wedding dress needed some last minute alteration (5 minutes before the ceremony) they came to the rescue and with scissors in hands they made it perfect!

I hope you enjoy this wedding, it's a representation of how many cool photos you can get when you let yourself be creative and to have fun on your day! (The night shots are one of my favourites I ever took!)

G+P | Don't let it rain on your parade! | Rathsallagh House | Wedding Photographer

LIVIA!!!!

You have killed me, these are so amazing. I absolutely love what you managed to capture. Thanks so much for sending this over - we’re delighted.
— Gemma+Phil

I often get asked "Livia, what happens if it rains on our wedding day?" rain is one of couple's biggest fear when it comes to wedding but what I say, as a wedding photographer that seen it all, is: you are the one that makes your day special, not the weather!

When it rains on a wedding I'm shooting my main job is to make it something to be incorporated (that doesn't mean running in the rain, although that would be fun too!) but to find light, beauty and special moments regardless of the weather and this wedding I'm showing today it's an example of that.

Gemma and Phil had planned their day up t the smallest details (Gemma was fantastic and there was a impressive spreadsheet involved when we met!) but one think you can't really predict is Irish weather, but they didn't let a little rain be an obstacle and as you can see in the images there was no short of happy faces all around!

One thing that they decided to do that it's having their first look and their couple's portraits before the ceremony, that I believe helped with the nerves and they were able to enjoy their reception with friends and family without rushing to have their photos!

If you are planning your wedding at Rathsallagh House there won't be any problem when it comes to lovely places for photos even with a little bit of rain!

Hope you enjoy the images xx

S+E | Fabulous Bellinter House Wedding Photographer - Preview

s+e_bellinter_house_wedding_photographer.jpg

I knew this would be an amazing wedding from when I receive their email in my inbox. Sarah and Eoghan had a clear vision and when I went down to Galway for our engagement session I knew that not only they were just the nicest people they put so much effort to make their wedding one of a kind.

One of the requests they had for me on the day of the wedding was to have an epic Vanity Fair/Magazine Cover photo in the award winning bathroom at Bellinter and oh boy tI think we got it, right? Look at this bridal party! A-mazing!

I can't wait to share the rest of the images but I couldn't help myself to squeeze in before the 2017 ends a preview of their wedding photos in Bellinter House, which by the way is just such a fab venue! <3

Thank you for trusting me and let me be part of such a fabulous day!

L+M - Elegant Shelbourne Wedding, Dublin - Ireland

The Shelbourne is one of the most prestigious hotels in Dublin and it's also one of the most popular wedding venues in Ireland and last year I had the pleasure to photograph this great couple there.

The wedding was a mix of classic and elegance, they actually decided to have a Guinness Reception instead of the traditional tea/prosecco at Kehoes in South Anne St which is know for having one of the best Guinness's in town and it's just a great idea, specially being so close to the Shelbourne.

This wedding was actually filled with cool ideas, to get the party going they actually have later that night a teacher who showed all the guests how to Irish dance and that was one of the most fun things I ever seen on a wedding and you can check all that in the photos below.

Best of 2016 - Couples

I've been blesses this year, not going to lie.

I've met some of the most adorable, loving and full of joy couples, that made me fell in love with wedding photography even more.

It was so hard to choose a few images but I hope this selection gives an idea of how lovely 2016 was and hopefully 2017 is filled with more great images.

I can't express enough how grateful I feel for the trust they had in me to tell their stories and I can't wait to tell even more stories in 2017!

Best of 2016 - Moments

Being a wedding photographer capturing those little and fun moments it's essential to tell a story and to be honest it's such a great feeling being able to capture genuine emotion, I feel like this it's what's make being a wedding photographer worth it because at the end, specially for me, it's all about story telling. I hope you enjoy my favorite moments of 2016!

Best of 2016 - Rings

2016 is almost over so as the count down to 2017 starts I decided to share my best of this year, looking back to some of my favorite images starting with the rings.

I'm a sucker for ring shots, I have to be honest! I love taking the time and try to take some fun and interesting shots and below are my favorites!
