J+R - Brazilian-Irish Love Celebration Ballybeg House Wedding Photographer, Ireland

j&r_ballybeg_house_wedding_photographer_livia_figueiredo_663.jpg
Talented, fun and professional are just some of the words I would use to describe Livia and her amazing work. From the moment we made contact with Livia, she was friendly and listened carefully to what my husband and I wanted for our wedding. On the day of the wedding, Livia was really quick at taking the family and group photos and spent the rest of the day documenting and capturing the happiness and love of our wedding day. She was so easy to work with and was so relaxed and fun on our wedding day. The photos we received were just perfect as Livia had perfectly captured all the emotions of the day and we are beyond happy with the results that we will get to treasure forever. Thank you Livia
— Joanne + Renato

I’be been living in Ireland for a good while and it’s always extra special when I get to shoot a Brazilian wedding (Brazilian-Irish in this case) and although I don’t get to do it often it makes even more special when I do!

Joanne and Renato are one of the kindest clients I ever got to shoot, their sweet approach to the whole day is just what every photographer dreams and on that sunny day in July I felt so welcomed and embraced not just by them but by their while friends, family and the team at Ballybeg House (I can’t wait to go back there this year, what a gorgeous venue!!)

Here’s some of the photos, I really hope you enjoy it :)

D+M - Engagement Session - Phoenix Park - Farmleigh House

D&M_engagement_preview_8.jpg

As everyone knows I’m a big believer on engagement sessions and this one in Farmleigh House in the Phoenix Park is for sure one of my favourites!

If you are considering booking a wedding photographer for your wedding I highly recommend getting a trial like an engagement session first, I say to couples, “when you are buying your wedding cake you get to taste it first so why not with your wedding photos?”.

Wedding photos are the only thing (specially if you are not hiring a videographer) left from your wedding day and is so easy to get disappointed if you and the professional you chose are not the right fit!

Also, I’m pretty sure being in front of the camera is tough for anyone so why not try it out and see that at the end it can be fun?

This is what Mike and Daryll did, they took the time to meet me and we had such a fun day and on their wedding day they knew exactly what to do (wait until you see their full wedding, it was a dream!)

Hope you enjoy the photos x

A+D | Intimate Alternative Wedding in Tinakilly House | Wedding Photographer Ireland

alternative_wedding_tinakilly_house_liviafigueiredo_563.jpg

Storm Emma is in full force outside so why not go back to lovely September and check this amazing intimate and alternative wedding in Tinakilly House

When they contacted me the first thing they said was: we LOVE photos! To be honest I'm not that used to hearing that so it definitely sparkled my attention. They said that they were having a very intimate wedding and that her family and a small group of friends were coming from America and their budget focus was to get cool, fun pictures of their day (that's why I freaking love my clients!) so on the day oh boy, these two delivered!

They told me to be completely free and as creative as I wanted, we end up doing a first look (which is something that here in Ireland I don't see happing that much - but I absolutely love it) and we had a great time!

We also split the couples portraits in two sections so at night we could do some more alternative ones and that also meant they could spend more time with their guests (which I'm all about)!.

Some of my favourite moments was when one of the bridesmaids actually took the brides vows from her bra, so funny! The bridesmaids were actually fab and when the bride's wedding dress needed some last minute alteration (5 minutes before the ceremony) they came to the rescue and with scissors in hands they made it perfect!

I hope you enjoy this wedding, it's a representation of how many cool photos you can get when you let yourself be creative and to have fun on your day! (The night shots are one of my favourites I ever took!)

G+P | Don't let it rain on your parade! | Rathsallagh House | Wedding Photographer

p+g_rathsallagh_house_wedding_livia_figueiredo_451.jpg
LIVIA!!!!

You have killed me, these are so amazing. I absolutely love what you managed to capture. Thanks so much for sending this over - we’re delighted.
— Gemma+Phil

I often get asked "Livia, what happens if it rains on our wedding day?" rain is one of couple's biggest fear when it comes to wedding but what I say, as a wedding photographer that seen it all, is: you are the one that makes your day special, not the weather!

When it rains on a wedding I'm shooting my main job is to make it something to be incorporated (that doesn't mean running in the rain, although that would be fun too!) but to find light, beauty and special moments regardless of the weather and this wedding I'm showing today it's an example of that.

Gemma and Phil had planned their day up t the smallest details (Gemma was fantastic and there was a impressive spreadsheet involved when we met!) but one think you can't really predict is Irish weather, but they didn't let a little rain be an obstacle and as you can see in the images there was no short of happy faces all around!

One thing that they decided to do that it's having their first look and their couple's portraits before the ceremony, that I believe helped with the nerves and they were able to enjoy their reception with friends and family without rushing to have their photos!

If you are planning your wedding at Rathsallagh House there won't be any problem when it comes to lovely places for photos even with a little bit of rain!

Hope you enjoy the images xx

Elope to Ireland | Dublin City | Woolen Mills | J+G Preview Wedding Photography Dublin

Livia, Omg! I shouted with joy when I saw these.
You truly have no idea how amazing a gift this is to us that you captured these images. We’ll never be able to thank you enough. I’m so glad that we had the privilege of working with you. It truly made our day that much more memorable and amazing. I know for sure that Gio and I will always cherish our day venturing through the streets of Dublin with you”
dublinweddingphotographer_liviafigueiredo.jpg

They came all the way from California to Elope in Ireland , they wanted to capture the city in all its colours and shapes and all they said to me was: "We want to have fun, do whatever you think will look good!" Are this clients even real?

More and more I've been encountering couples that embrace their own style and not necessary do whatever is traditional if doesn't resonate with them and I just find that fab! Nothing wrong with traditional specially if that what you envisioned for your wedding but nothing better for you and your partner than doing what feels right and what represents you.

Here's a sneak peek from their elopement and I will be sharing more soon, hope you like it!

Photo Session at Phoenix Park - Travel Photographer Dublin Ireland

This Wednesday I was contacted to do mini photo session at Phoenix Park and boy it was full of surprises! First this gorgeous girl comes arrives and (no she's not a model, just naturally beautiful) and she was just the easiest to work with, such a natural!

The other surprise was the weather, if you follow me on Instagram (wait, you don't? You are missing an infinite stories about food, lol! Follow me here) you would know that the weather was kinda crazy! It rained and then stopped, then rained again with sunshine and intense windy in between, but that didn't stop us and we managed to get great images that you can see here.

If you ever want to get some great portraits of yourself, don't hesitate to drop me a message ;)

Preview - A+S - Sunny Temple House Wedding- Sligo, Ireland.

Yesterday's wedding was just so good! When they told me they were looking to have an outdoor ceremony in Ireland the first thing I asked was: do you have a plan B? I know that sounds pessimist but being a wedding photographer in Ireland you have that fear of raining built in your system! LOL.

Luck enough the weather was just beautiful throughout the day and we were able to take some awesome shots and have some awesome ice cream :)

Here are a few pics containing awesome couples, large and epic bridal party and lots of sun. Hope you enjoy!

A+B Emotional City Hall - Angler's Rest Wedding - Dublin, Ireland

a+b_anglersrest_wedding_livia_figueiredo.jpg

Grab the tissues because this wedding is just amazing.

Antoinette and Ben met in Seoul while teaching and they instantly feel in love after matching in a online dating website. They lived in Vietnam together before that they endure a long distance relationship which it was a tough one.

After getting his grandmother ring after a trip to his family in Michigan and knowing he wanted to be with her for the rest of their lives. Sadly no long after their trip they found out that Antoinette had a lump on her breast and she would need to go under treatment in Dublin while he stayed in Vietnam still waiting to propose!

As he says: "Antoinette had started chemotherapy at this stage and had lost most of her hair. I knew I wanted to propose but I didn't know how much energy Antoinette had or how she would be feeling. On a whim, and since she was feeling up to it, we decided to take the ferry to Inishmore. Antoinette was weak but she wanted to rent a tandem bike just like we did in Gyeongju, South Korea. I wanted to get a horse and buggy but she refused. We rode our bike to the other side of the island, to Dún Aonghasa. There, high above the rocks and waves, I asked Antoinette to marry me. She said yes and we've both been giddy and smiling ear to ear ever since. I gave her my grandmother's ring, designed by my grandfather.”

When I met Antoinette we chatted on how planning the wedding whilst in treatment was helping her to keep the energy and the hope, her and Ben actually DIY'ed all the decoration which gave an extra special touch in the whole day.

At the end their wedding was just so full of energy and love, they had a 1950's wedding themed day and even a tandem bike like they did in South Korea and in their proposal and they drove to the door of Angler's Rest which was just awesome!

Is weddings like these that being a wedding photographer is just a blessing and knowing and sharing stories of couples like Antoinette and Ben it's such a honour.
